beauty.....?
Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Each person on this earth has their own mind that is made up of totally different experiences and beauty beliefs, most coming from culture. It’s really hard to get everyones real opinion unless you literally took everyone on the earth sat them down and asked them the question.
EXAMPLES:
•A Barbie doll figure is the average North American standard of beauty, but if you ask someone of South American, Caribbean or African decent they’d say that a more full figured woman is beautiful.
•I think Angelina Jolie is absolutely the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life, but by boyfriend thinks she is just ok.
Even with-in the same culture you will find different levels of beauty opinions. That’s why you should always strive to be the best you that you can be and that’s only if you want to. Everyone else’s opinions’ are just that…opinions…they don’t matter unless you allow them to matter.
All in all, peoples’ opinions don’t matter. Beauty is in your eye and you create it for your world. That’s a lot more fun than waiting to be defined by others.
I cannot imagine how one could study this area of technical skill online.
This kind of work involves learning how to do things with your hands, understanding the tools, learning how the products work and feel when applied.
The only way I can see to learn this is to actually handle the stuff. Yes, there will be some theory/knowledge you could study on line. But after that, you'll have to apprentice.
why not use your local college these offer many treatments and are very cheap and also if your student you get a discount as well. These would also be able to tell you what type of treatment you need, but I would suggest a vapor facial using the correct products have a case study course and you'll see the results pretty soon. hope this helps
If you're looking to emulate the style of this photographer, I would suggest finding one of his photographs which you like and looking into the reflection of the model's eye to determine what kind of lighting setup was used. I looked at a couple of his pictures and noticed that he frequently uses ring lights and giant softboxes, which are actually the norm for fashion photography.
If you don't have access to this equipment, a softbox (which was originally created to mimic window light) can be simulated by setting your model in front of a large window with lots of light shining through (not direct sunlight).
The idea of beauty portraits is to eliminate shadows on the face with lots of light (to mask skin defects). Again, this is most easily done with the use of a large window. You may also help the effect by using white sheets or poster boards to reflect light into your model's face. The eliminated shadows are then replaced by the strategic use of makeup to accentuate cheekbones, etc.
Referring again to Marcelo Benfield's work, you can tell that Photoshop has become a major step in the process of beauty photography. For example, http://grouper.com/video/MediaDetails.aspx?id=1687033
Regarding the camera, a large aperture is typically used with the focus set on the reflection in the model's eyes. The ears are usually out of focus as a result. Finally, this type of image is generally shot with a slightly telephoto lens (~70mm on a 35 mm camera). Using a normal or wide angle would introduce perspective into the photograph, making the nose appear too big and the ears too small.
E-mail me with your questions. I always enjoy a conversation about photography.
It's much less about symmetary and much more about certain ratios and facial proportions.
I think the proof that it's not about symmetary is in the fact that when you take a picture half of someone's face and reflect it so you have two symmetrical halves, it just looks strange and unnatural.
Read TeenVogue, it's the best way to follow the fashion trends. People and Instyle have fashion updates for people your age sometimes. Keep your make-up safe, and clean with a glow that makes you the way you are. Don't make it too dramatic. Even out your make up; maybe a little bit of mascara, eyeliner, a touch of eyeshadow, a little bit of blush, and some gloss will do. Guys don't like it when girls have too much make up. I personally don't like Forever21 because their clothes are cheap material so I recommend that you shop at Nordstroms, Urban Outfitters, and HM. Always dress according to the ocasio and weather, keep your accessories cute, never mixmatch, but don't over accessorize. These days, the bigger the better. Don't carry around a dinky little purse, get your oufit to look more fabulous by carrying a purse that has a lot of room and style to it. Jeans are very important. I love Citizens of Humanity, True Religions, and William Rast jeans. Do not get jeans that are too tight. You'll get a muffin top which means that your fats goes over your jeans beacause your jeans are too tight. It was stated on E!'s 50 fashion do and don't. Make sure to keep the length right, and the butt area looking fit. I use Nu Skin, which is not a very well known brand, but it is the best. I was breaking out one time, I applyed some facial acne creame, the next day it was gone. And for your make up, go to Sephora, not MAC. MAC makes you look like a cake face. GOOD LUCK!
The literal translation is belleza divina, but nobody uses those words without sounding a real nerd.
If you are intending to tell something similar to an Argentina, you can tell her Diosa that means goddess and is currently used.
Same with estas divina that means more or less you look great!
Preciosa, hermosa, belleza, linda, are other words that every women in the world would like to listen because they all would like to possess an extraordinary physical beauty.
Lets resolve this overdue question by bringing it to a vote.

* to soften your skin and minimize pores, apply beaten egg yolk to your face and let dry for 10 minutes, then rinse
* if you don't have electronic eyelash curler, heat your normal curler under a hairdryer before using it. it works much better.

* for bigger eyes, apply darker eyeliner on the outer corner of your eyes and brighter eyeliner on the innercorner of your eyes
* To make lips bigger put clear lip gloss in the middle of ur lips.
* to make beautiful temporary curls, wash your hair at night and braid them while it's wet. then go sleep. you will see the result the next morning when u untie your braids!
* Rub a dry body brush in circular motions on your stomach and legs everyday before you shower. This increases the circulation in you body and helps reduce the appearance of cellulite.
* roll the mascara brush as your putin it on, it avoids clumps
* Soak cloth with hot water (the hottest that you can stand. Be careful though) then put over face for 10 minutes. Then quickly put a cleanser over your face. (Clean Clear and Noxzema foaming wash are good cleansers) Leave on for 3-4 minutes then wash with ice cold water. This will open your pores, clean them, and then close them. You'll see results within a week.
* If you have green eyes, wear purple shadow because it brings the color out
If you have blue eyes wear brown because it brings the color out
If you have blue/green eyes , wear a mix of both.
* After applying lipstick, stick your thumb in your mouth, and then slowly pull it out. This removes any lipstick from the inside rim of your lips so you don't get lipstick on your teeth.
* To minimize the appearance of a pimple, hold ice on it for two minutes. It brings the swelling and redness down.
* before bed add a tiny bit of honey and some water in the palm of your hand and spread it across your face, avoiding the T zone. smooth and soft face int he morning
* Dont bite the skin around your nails, this causes your nails to look bigger
* If you have big lips, use muted colours such as purples, browns and bronzes.

* after you have done all your makeup, take some shimmery white eyeshadow and put a tiny bit on the inner corners or your eyes. It really makes them POP!
* Everynight an hour before you go to bed, drink 3/4 of a pint of water mixed with 1/4 of a pint of lemon juice. Once you are done, drink a glass of ice water, then go pee. This will help clear your complexion.
* for an overall glow n radiance to your face, mix honey and milk until it's creamy. wash your face with hot water to open pores. apply the mixture avoiding the T area of your face. wait for 30 minutes and wash off with cold water.
* To remove blackheads, steam for 5 mins and exfoliate immediately.
* Rub vaseline on your eyelashes every night. Smear it in between every single lash and all around your lash line. If you do this every day, it will eventually make your lashes grow in faster and softer.
* Blowing on your nail polish to dry them decreases shine and dulls them. Instead, soak your nails in ice water after your done and if you must, use your blowdryer on low, cool setting just to blow off the water. Now don't touch anything!
* Pour a tablespoonful of honey into a small bowl. Add two teaspoons of sugar and mix well. Now scoop up all of the mixture with your fingers and massage well into your hands for a few minutes. Sounds yucky but feels great! Rinse and apply hand lotion. Soft!

Nope.. it is the totality of one's personhood. The true measure of beauty in a person is skin deep.. means that the outside appearance alone is not enough gauge that's why it varies with each person.
Excellent question. It touches on many areas: art, philosophy, sociology, mass communications, psychology, and even the hard sciences like statistics, biology, genetics, etc.
You have addressed one of the most ancient and universal questions. It can be directed or focussed on many subjects, such as male or female physical beauty, or the inner beauty we often see in physically unattractive people, or it can be generalized to the beauty we can find in nature, the universe, or even mathematics and the realm of ideas. The ancient Greek philosophers (eg: Plato) had much to say on the subject, some even went so far as to attempt an objective classification of the nature of beauty, or the ideal.
Fast forward to the present day, to the hard sciences, and we can find research into male and female perceptions of beauty in the opposite sex, using a vast array of tools ranging from questionnaires to computer-assisted face-mapping and statistical analysis that attempts to reveal the ideal facial or body type (even the ideal walking style) according to the opposite sex.
As for the more general, fuzzy, purely philosophical notion of beauty, I think the only valid answer to your question is the one you already know: beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder.
Also, if you look into other religions, you may find that Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, etc. have other insights of interest to you.
Spiritual beauty has nothing to do with physical beauty, of course, and it seems to be a constant and universal concern of all mankind. If you are looking for some objective never-changing truths about the nature of beauty (defined as what is best in humans), I think the best sources will be found in philosophy and religion. These two areas are mankind's storehouses of universal truth. You won't find much universal truth in popular media, that's for sure.
The nefers symbol in egyptian hieroglyphics means beauty but it's not going to be a very attractive tattoo...
As for mayan symbols, I'm sorry, I know little about their symbols. However, there is a symbol of a heron (bak) in mayan symbolisms and herons are both beautiful and strong.
If you're going for a figure tattoo, the tarot card for Strength is a great symbol for both strength and beauty. It's got the image of a lion and a woman. (http://www.sacred-texts.com/tarot/pkt/img/ar08.jpg)
I would really suggest you go THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINSTRATION office in your area. They are great at helping people start a small business.
In Egyptian art, the ideal form is a youthful and slim figure with narrow hips, which anthropometric studies of pharaonic mummies have revealed is a fair representation of reality, at least in the case of Egyptian women. Furthermore, their hip to shoulder proportions are not greatly different from those found in male Egyptian mummies. While both sexes may be depicted in this way, representations of males are more likely to vary from the ideal.
Who cares? Don't risk it.
